klo for agents

Your agent.
A whole editing room.

Edit video with klo Cloud MCP. Bring footage, describe the cut, and get a finished video back. Your Mac can stay closed.

Connect to klo Cloud

Add a custom remote MCP connector in your agent’s settings. Use this server URL:

https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp

Choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth. Sign in to your own klo account and approve the connection. Compatible clients discover the authorization settings automatically; you don’t need to paste a provider API key into chat.

Editing uses your klo account and available credits. Cloud runs on hosted infrastructure, independently of the Mac app.

Choose your agent

Connect Klo - video editor to the agent you already use. Each person signs in to their own Klo account. A working custom connection is different from an official directory listing.

Claude · Grok · Muse · Pally · Instinct · Other clients

Connection status last checked October 8, 2026. Platform access and menus can change.

Claude

Custom remote connection. Klo’s complete attachment-to-export flow in Claude has not yet been verified.

  1. Open Claude’s Connectors settings and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Klo - video editor and paste https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp as the server URL. Use OAuth; leave optional client credentials blank for automatic registration.
  3. Add the connector, choose Connect, sign in to Klo, and approve the permissions shown.
  4. Enable Klo in the conversation’s tools. Ask “Use Klo to list my cloud projects” to verify access before sending your editing brief.

Workspace administrators may need to enable custom connectors. Claude’s setup guide.

Grok

Custom connection tested with a real video upload, edit, and export.

  1. Open Grok Connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom.
  2. Enter https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp and complete Klo’s OAuth sign-in.
  3. Use the connected Klo tools in your conversation. Attach a short clip and try the first-edit prompt below.

This does not mean Klo is an approved catalog listing. Grok’s connector guide.

Muse

Custom connection tested with a real video upload, edit, and export. Public directory submission is pending review.

Send this message to Muse:

“Create a Custom Connector named Klo - video editor. Remote MCP URL: https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp. Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: OAuth. Send me the sign-in link, then verify that you can list my Klo projects.”

Open the authorization link, sign in to Klo, review the permissions, and return to Muse. Then attach your footage and request the edit. If your account does not offer custom connectors, the public listing is not a substitute until it is approved.

Pally

Connection tested through iMessage, including a video attachment and a returned edited video.

  1. Ask Pally to connect Klo - video editor using https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp with OAuth. Ask for its connection flow; never paste account tokens into a message.
  2. Complete Klo sign-in in the browser and return to Pally. Ask it to list your Klo projects to confirm access.
  3. Send a video attachment with your editing instructions. Ask Pally to use Klo and return the finished video.

Messaging services may compress attachments. For full-resolution work, supply a downloadable link to the original file. Availability in other Pally accounts has not been independently verified.

Instinct · awaiting integration support

Klo is not currently available as an Instinct connector. An approved Instinct account does not enable custom MCP servers. Our account’s connector list and Instinct’s agent currently expose built-in integrations only.

We have requested Klo integration and custom MCP support from Instinct. There is no confirmed approval date. There is no Klo sign-in or video-editing setup to complete in Instinct yet.

You can check Instinct’s connector list. Until Klo becomes available there, use a supported connection above. We will add installation steps here when the integration is available and verified.

Other agents and the Mac app

For ChatGPT, Perplexity, or another client, your account must support custom remote MCP with OAuth. Add https://mcp.getklo.com/mcp through that client’s documented connector settings, authorize your own Klo account, and verify project access. We have not completed the same end-to-end video test in every client; protocol compatibility alone does not prove file attachment support.

For local editing, keep the Klo Mac app open and use its desktop MCP setup. A local connection controls that Mac’s editor; Cloud MCP runs independently and cannot read your SSD through a local path. Read more about Klo’s desktop workflow.

Send footage. Ask for the edit.

Attach a video if your agent can share its download with tools, or provide an accessible media link. Then ask:

“Use klo to make a 20-second vertical cut from this footage. Keep the dialogue natural, warm up the color, and add a short animated title. Send me the finished video.”

You can revise the same cloud project afterward: change the pacing, adjust captions, restyle motion, or export another version.

Built for the whole cut

Import footage, arrange and trim a timeline, work with audio and captions, color grade, create editable Remotion graphics, and export a video. Agents can delegate an edit to klo or call editing tools directly.

Cloud and desktop share editing capabilities, but some native Mac effects and masks differ. Cloud projects do not automatically expose local Mac projects or drives.

For agents and developers

  1. Connect to the remote endpoint with the user’s authorization. Discover current schemas with tools/list.
  2. Use list_projects to find an existing project, or create_project for a new one. Keep the returned project ID.
  3. Call add_footage with accessible source URLs or supported file attachments. If your client has file bytes but no downloadable URL, discover create_upload and follow its returned upload instructions; do not stage footage on an unrelated public file host. Wait for get_media to report ready before requesting an edit that depends on that footage.
  4. Call run_klo_agent with the project ID and the user’s brief. For direct edits, use the discovered tools or expand_tools and run_tool.
  5. Follow returned job IDs with get_job, respecting pollAfterSec. An accepted job is not a completed video. Report failures accurately.
  6. Use get_deliverables for finished downloads. Links expire; request fresh links when needed. Use the same project for revisions.

One plan. Every place you edit.

Your existing Klo plan and credit balance work across the Mac app and Cloud MCP. Connecting another agent does not create another subscription.

Ask your agent “What’s my Klo credit balance?” or “Give me a link to manage my Klo plan.” It can use get_account and get_billing_link to provide your balance and a private Stripe link. You review and complete any purchase in your browser, then return to the conversation.

See current plans. Your agent’s own subscription is separate from Klo.

A few things to know

Files: cloud tools cannot read a path on your laptop. The agent must provide an upload or downloadable URL. Public video links work only when the source permits cloud downloads; restricted sources need the original file.

Privacy: footage sent to Cloud is processed on hosted infrastructure. Account authorization isolates your projects. Signed download links grant access to anyone holding the link, so share them only with the intended recipient.

Timing: editing and rendering run as background jobs and may take minutes, depending on the footage and requested work. Keep checking the returned job status.

Clients: use a client that supports remote MCP and OAuth. Custom connections and public directory listings are separate. Availability in Muse, Grok, or Instinct depends on that platform’s connector support and review; this page does not imply an approved listing.
